On March 5, Zurich announced plans to transfer the management of North America Commercial’s Small Business Solutions book to Farmers Group, Inc. A letter was sent to Zurich’s business partners.

Zurich and Farmers officials expect that the insurance and corporate regulatory reviews will go quickly and the transfer will be approved.  Zurich advises that the move has been made primarily to increase the efficiencies of internal operations of small to mid-size C/L business within the Zurich group, thus eliminating duplication of efforts.

Once the move is officially approved, PIA will be meeting with Farmers officials to learn more about the new evolved Farmers and where it sees its focus, targets and business partners in the marketplace.
