PIA Working with NAIC and NCOIL to Improve Producer Licensing System

PIA has been working with the NAIC and NCOIL to improve the process our members must go through to obtain a non-resident license.  Both organizations will address this issue again at their summer meetings, and we would like to hear from you on your experience with various state insurance departments on their process for obtaining a non-resident producer license.

Please tell us about your experience, whether it was positive or negative, and we will share this information with our regulators and legislators who have assured us that they are aggressively  targeting states that are not living up to their commitments to modernize their licensing requirements. What are the three biggest licensing challenges you face? Send your comments to David Eppstein davidep@pianet.org. By working together, we can assist the states to make the licensing process even more uniform nationwide.
