NAIC's Producer Licensing Working Group Discusses Continuing Education Issues

The NAIC's Producer Licensing Working Group continues to discuss the development of standardized procedures for self-study and online coursework. Significant issues that the group hopes to address in 2005 include: (1) requests for approval not being accepted by states unless the front form is signed by the resident state of the provider; (2) national courses and the provider being able to select his or her home state; (3) states that do not accept less than 3 hours of credit; and (4) states not accepting the standards adopted by the CE Reciprocity Agreement.
