PIA Continues to Press to Remove Adjuster Requirement from Model

On Tuesday, November 16, 2004, the NAIC’s Producer Licensing Working Group will hold a conference call on the Public Adjuster Licensing Model Act as a follow-up to the meeting held on November 7th in Kansas City. PIA National will participate in the call and discuss our comments to remove language requiring business entities acting as insurance producers to obtain public adjuster licenses. Based on conversations with Working Group Co-Chairs Jack Chaskey and Gene Reed of New York and Delaware, respectively, PIA expects no opposition to this urgent change.
